As a fiduciary, we ensure that each trust is administered in strict accordance with its specific provisions and that the trust’s terms are carried out as intended. When making discretionary decisions, we are sensitive to the needs of our beneficiaries and always act in a fair and impartial manner. Beacon Trust has trustee powers in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

Personal Trust Administration

  • Administer trust in accordance with settlor’s wishes and trust terms while managing, investing & safeguarding trust assets
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to beneficiaries’ needs & personal situations
  • Ensure continuity of administration during times of grantor’s incapacity or disability
  • Distribute funds in a timely & efficient manner and professionally execute discretionary distributions
  • Handle Accountings for Surrogate Courts & Government Programs

Integrated In-House Tax Services

  • Maintain detailed records of account transactions I Prepare and file fiduciary income tax returns
  • Offer quarterly processing of fiduciary estimated tax payments I Assist with federal and state tax issues
  • Issue monthly principal and income statements and asset summaries

Estate Settlement Services

  • Probate decedent’s will, apply for an estate tax identification number, and establish an estate account
  • Keep estate beneficiaries informed regarding the administration process
  • Handle Attorney General Accountings if charities are listed as final beneficiaries
  • Identify decedent’s assets and debts and collect decedent’s assets into the estate

Arrange for:

  • Appraisal of tangible and real property and for the sale of estate assets where necessary
  • Preparation and filing of decedent’s final income tax returns
  • Preparation and filing of the estate’s income tax returns and any required inheritance and estate tax returns
  • Preparation of informal or formal estate accounting as appropriate
  • Distribution to estate beneficiaries and/or funding of trusts
