Susan Hayes

Susan Hayes

Managing Director
Fixed Income Portfolio Manager

Susan Hayes is a Managing Director and Fixed Income Portfolio Manager. She has more than 24 years of investment management experience. Her responsibilities include setting fixed income strategy and making investment decisions for both the taxable and tax-exempt bond portfolios. She has extensive experience in fixed income including credit analysis and portfolio positioning in all bond market cycles. She is the lead member of the Fixed Income Investment Committee, is a member of the firm’s Market Outlook committee and is also a member of the Provident Bank Investment Committee.

Prior to joining Beacon Trust, Ms. Hayes was a Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at Oppenheimer Investment Advisers, a subsidiary of the Wealth Management division of Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. She was with the firm for 16 years and managed fixed income separately managed accounts for high net worth clients. Previously, Ms. Hayes was at Morgan Stanley where she was responsible for sales of both fixed income and equity based products. She also had similar professional experience at CIBC and Gabriele, Hueglin & Cashman.

Ms. Hayes received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Manhattanville College and earned a MBA in Financial Management from Pace University. Ms. Hayes is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts and a member of the Women's Bond Club of New York.
