Howard Friedner

Howard Friedner is an Executive Managing Director and co-manager of the Strategic Opportunities equity strategy. He was previously Executive Vice President and a Principal of Tirschwell & Loewy.  He served as the senior portfolio manager of the firm, focusing in particular on innovation led growth investing. Mr. Friedner joined Tirschwell & Loewy in 2002 and has more than 35 years of investment and advisory experience including ten years as a corporate lawyer at major New York law firms and J.P. Morgan where he engaged in a wide variety of corporate finance, securities, merger & acquisition, and private equity transactions.  Mr. Friedner has been involved in all major aspects of investment management, including  research and analysis, investment strategy, asset allocation, stock selection, fixed income, portfolio management, and advising clients with respect to investment and financial matters, with a focus on high net worth individuals, families, trusts, retirement accounts, endowments, foundations, and various other non-profit organizations.  Mr. Friedner earned his B.A. at Columbia University in 1981, an M.A. at the Columbia School of International and Public Affairs in 1982, and his J.D. at Columbia Law School in 1985.  Howard has participated in a variety of community activities.
